The wind still blows the stongest tree, same wind will carry me, when I set my fears aside there's still a voice inside, when the storms are gone the sun can find me .... Well the sun has definitely found me today!!! Today I have felt truly blessed, blessed with good friends, family, the gospel and the beautiful world around me!! It helps that I work with really great people who make me laugh all the time and make each day a joy!!!! I think I am coming to the end of one of my own personal storms, its a wonderful feeling!!! It's also a great time for reflection. When I think about the trials and difficult times I have passed through (im pretty sure compared to some people's hard times they are nothing!!!!) I can honestly say that I am thankful for them because in one way or another they have shaped me , strenghtened my testimony and faith in heavenly father and the gospel and have made me a stonger and better person!! Although I'm pretty sure I have moaned and groaned my way through every single trial and hard time and have never appriciated them at the time!!!!!! I know that Heavenly Father gives us our trials to help us learn and grow. Heavenly Father does not put us through trials for his own good, he already knows the answers and the outcomes, he already knows what we are going to do, he puts us through them to help us learn the answers for ourselves and to learn about ourselves. From now on I am going to do my best to look at trials and challenges as blessings in disguise because really thats exactly what they are!!!! :) As I always say I LOVE A CHALLENGE!!! :)
My next challenge is the half Marathon I am running on Sunday April 6th in aid of Leukaemia and Lymphoma research a cause dear to my heart!!! Ive just got back from a training run with a great friend who is deffo the superman to my batgeek and gives me the motivation I so desperatly need!!!!! Trials of mothers day
So its mothers day .... A lovely day where children of all ages get the opportunity to say thank you to their mums for all they have done for them.
If you're looking for a place where mums and their good works are the focus of the day then look no further then your local LDS church where services and lessons are dedicated to saying thank you mothers throughout the world and also the scriptures. If the talks given by the primary children aren't enough to pull on your heart strings then the young women's musical item is bound to bring a tear to your eye!! and then of course there is the time when gifts are given to all the mummys in the church. it's beautiful and lovely and I am in no way against the idea or the day at all, however, I often wonder how many people sit feleing hurt, pain, sorrow, misery or just down right uncomfortable during the proceedings and I wonder how many people spare a thought or a kind word for them on a day which is probably very difficult for them.
The Mormon church is well known for being a big family orinentated church, a place which actively encourages big families and, in my opinion, almost expects every married women to start popping out children as soon as the ring is on her finger. This is all well and good for those families who are able to have children but what about those who unfortunatly can not. How painful days like today must be for the. Particularly in a church where being married and childless is almost frowned upon.
Equally another common myth within the church is if you're a mother and a mormon you are obviously going to be perfect and have the perfect life!!!!! this isnt true!!!! I know from personal experience that having a mormon mum is no garauntee!! On mothers day how many people think of those children, young and old, who's mothers have walked in and out of their lives so often that their relationship with them is non existent. Doesn't it almost seem a shame sometimes that those who so desperately want children are unable to have them and yet some of those blessed with the joy of children seem to disregard them like yesterdays newspaper!!
While mothers day is a wonderful day and brings a great opportunity to be thankful I do wonder if as a church we sometimes fall short of being kind and loving and showing understanding to those who find days like today difficult.
On a brighter note I hope all the lovely mummys out there have a wonderful day and are spoilt rotten!!!!
SMILE JESUS LOVES YOU!!!!

i float through life knowing absolutely nothing!!!!
"Don't forget to listen for God's voice in everything you do and everywhere you go, hes the one that will keep you on track" I found this quote on pintrest and I love it!! It fits so perfectly into my life right now and Im sure it fits perfectly into so many other peoples lives too. Sometimes in life we get so busy and caught up in the day to day hustle and bustle and drama of everyday living that we forget to listen to God's voice. Often, we get down on our knees and pray for our heavenly fathers help, we ask him to guide us and lead us and to show us what to do and then we get up off our knees and carry on being busy and forget to listen!!! I do this sooo many times its unreal!!!!!!! I guess this quote reminds me that its important to take the time to listen and to pay attention because heavenly father is always there, he is always leading the way we just need to be listening and paying attention!!! Anyone who knows me well will know that paying attention is something I do not do well!! but I'm working on it!!!!!
I think this quote also fits in well right now as we prepare for GENERAL CONFERENCE!!!! eeeekkkkkkk flipping LOVE general conference!!!!!!!!!!! having the opportunity to listen to a prophet speak, to listen to his guidence and council...AMAZING!!!!!!
So yeah, I need to pay way more attention to my heavenly father .... and in life in general!!! I swear I float through life knowing absolutely nothing of what is going on around me!!!!!!!! #storyofmylife

first ever blog!!!!!
This is very exciting!!! This is the first blog I have ever written and it may ( and probably will) end up being a load of useless rambling but I am very excited to write it!!!!!!
Let me tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Jade I am 25 I live in good old Yorkshire, England and yep you guessed it I'M A MORMON!!!!! I am hoping this blog helps me explain a little bit of what its like to not only be a mormon but to be a mormon in England where the LDS church is not so popular as over in the USA!! (although we are growing) Im sure there are plenty of people who will experience the same mormon problems as me!! The biggest problem at the moment being people asking me why im not married yet!!! pretty sure in the non mormon world its normal to not be married at my age!!!! HAHAHA.
A little bit more information about myself, in true mormon style I LOVE baking and knitting!!!!!!! why some RM hasn' t snapped me up yet I just don't know!!!! so yeah this blog will probably also include random recipes and knitting projects!!!!! its all good!!!!
Despite all the mormon problems I love being a mormon , its awesome!!!! THE BOOK IS BLUE THE CHURCH IS TRUE !!!!! xxxx
