The words of David A Bednar have been ringing in my ears since I heard them on Sunday evening. We all have a load to bear, carrying a load is infact essential in the lords plan for us. the load we carry should provide us with the spiritual traction required to stay on the path to the celestial kingdom.
Does the lord then expect us to simply shoulder the burden and carry the load on our own?? No he does not. He will walk side by side with us and help us carry it, taking on the heavest part of the load himself, making our burden light, if we let him.What a wonderful and beautiful blessing that is!!!!!
No this life is not easy, no it is not pain free and being a member of the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints does not give you a get out of jail free card against suffering or afflictions, but what it does do is offer the atoning sacrifice of the saviour and the everlasting and unwavering love of a Heavenly Father who wants to share our burdens with us and who will. when the load is too heavy, carry it for us.
In the words of David A Bednar " there is no physical pain, no spiritual wound the saviour has not felt and borne, he understands, he has perfect empathy, he can heal us" What perfect words!!!!!!
